Dennis
Guida's business career includes becoming a branch manager at age 23.
In 1985 Dennis accepted a position with First Community Bank of the
Desert in Yucca Valley, California where he was elected Cashier in
1987, Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (1988), and Executive
Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer, Chief
Financial Officer, and a member of the Board of Directors in 1990. At
age 32, he became President and Chief Executive Officer (1992).
In 1993, Dennis began his consulting practice as Director, Financial
Institutions with Vavrinek, Trine, Day & Company, a Certified
Public Accounting firm. He provided consulting services to
organizations with an emphasis in the areas of financial management,
strategic planning, and performance compensation strategies. Dennis was
introduced to Mike Higgins and the PERFORMANCE COMPENSATION FOR
STAKEHOLDERS™ methodology immediately after joining the CPA firm. By
the end of 1993, he began actively utilizing the methodology to design
performance compensation programs for clients. He has facilitated or
consulted on more than 75 PERFORMANCE COMPENSATION FOR STAKEHOLDERS™
installation projects.
Dennis is the Partner responsible for managing MHA’s Asset/Liability
Management services, which include ALM processing and third party
Interest Rate Risk Review. He has performed more than 40 third party
reviews since 2001 with clients ranging in asset size from $50 million
to over $2.2 billion. Additionally, he’s served as ALCO Chairman
while a banker and also as a bank Director.
Dennis Guida's career began in 1983 following graduation from the
University of Redlands (California) with a BS in Business Management.
He subsequently earned an MBA from National University (California) and
is also a graduate of The School for Bank Administration, Madison, WI.
Dennis participated in intercollegiate athletics, was a member of the
Mortarboard National Honor Society, and a member of the Kappa Sigma
Sigma Fraternity. As a football player, he was elected to the All
Conference team as a defensive back at Glendale Community College and
received honorable mention All Conference honors at the University of
Redlands.
Dennis resides in Southern California with his wife Susan. They have
three children, Steven, Andrew and Haley. |
